Fujairah University Chancellor Visits the Third Day of UAE Hackathon 2025 and Praises Participants
Fujairah, United Arab Emirates – Dr. Suleiman Al Jassim Fujairah University Chancellor, conducted an inspection tour at the university to oversee the activities and workshops held on the third day of the 8th edition of the Fujairah Hackathon 2025. Hosted by Fujairah University, the hackathon is part of the national innovation initiative organized by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) to drive digital transformation and technological advancement.
A Tour of Government Entities and Civil Defense Participation
During his visit, Dr. Al Jassim reviewed the contributions of various government entities participating in the hackathon, commending their role in supporting digital innovation by presenting challenges and solutions that contribute to a more sustainable and intelligent future. He also visited the Fujairah Civil Defense Department, where he observed the department's initiatives in smart safety solutions and AI-driven technologies, designed to enhance rapid response and improve service efficiency.

In a speech addressed to student participants, Dr. Suleiman Al Jassim praised the high caliber of ideas and projects presented at the hackathon, highlighting the participants’ creativity and ability to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to national challenges. He emphasized that the Fujairah Hackathon provides a unique opportunity for youth to test their skills in innovation and entrepreneurship, reinforcing their role in achieving the UAE’s Digital Vision 2030.

The UAE Hackathon 2025 continues to offer specialized training sessions and workshops, with 451 participants from various schools and educational institutions engaging alongside experts from the government and private sectors to develop technological solutions supporting digital transformation and sustainability.
The event will conclude with a series of final project presentations, where the winning teams will be awarded the prestigious GIMI Catalyst Certification, along with exclusive non-monetary prizes, including specialized training programs and one-on-one mentorship sessions with leading industry experts and entrepreneurs.
